Every Showcase features a guest industry expert as judge, a creative brief, and the chance to share your best work. The most exciting part? Every actor who enters receives individual feedback. Whether you're shortlisted or not, you’ll hear what you did well and where you can grow. Personalised notes from casting and industry professionals, unique to Fishpond.

Winter Showcase 
As the first signs of Spring begin to appear, we’re embracing one final moment of Winter here at Fishpond. The quieter months of Winter give us space to reflect, reset, and focus inward. It's a reminder to stay present, grounded, and truly engaged in the moment, just as actors must be within a scene. This pause makes it the perfect time to focus on the skill of staying present.

Our Guest Judge
For this Showcase, we've invited a casting director who uses Fishpond regularly to cast her projects. The wonderful Shauna Griffith will evaluate your tapes and choose her favourites. Shauna will also provide personal feedback on her top picks, outlining why she found them so impressive. So, this is your chance to work on your skills, as well as stand out and make a lasting impression on her. Shauna truly loves working with actors and is incredibly excited to watch your work. 

About Shauna Griffith
Under Shauna’s leadership, SG Casting has taken on a wide variety of projects - from national TV and film dramas to commercials and short films. Among her recent credits as casting director are short films such as Remote Strutting, Bunker Baby, and I Can’t Go On, as well as the TV Series, Showkids for RTÉ.

What drives Shauna’s approach to casting is empathy, insight and a deep respect for actors. Having herself experienced the challenges of auditioning, she believes strongly in creating a safe, encouraging and professional environment - one where actors feel supported, even if they don’t get a role. She loves discovering fresh talent and seeing how the right performer can bring a character to life, enriching the story in ways even the script may not have anticipated.

Shauna has provided four script options for your self-tape, as well as some guidelines from her about staying present in your chosen scene and keeping it alive.

Get Seen
Shauna's top talent will be shared directly with our full caster database of over 1,000 industry professionals. This includes casting directors, directors, producers, and production companies across Ireland, the UK, and beyond. In addition, we’ll add a Showcase Winner badge to your Fishpond profile, so that casters using Fishpond can easily spot you. We'll also be proud to share your recording across our platform, in our newsletters, and on our social media channels.

Get Feedback
Every single actor who takes part in the Showcase will receive feedback on their tape. If shortlisted, you’ll receive direct feedback from Shauna. If not shortlisted, the Fishpond team will offer specific feedback on what you did well and where there’s room for you to develop. Following the Showcase results, we'll also hold a live in-depth talk with Shauna on Zoom (that you can attend), where she'll share even more insights on your work and auditioning in general. 

No one else is doing this. We believe that actors thrive with clear, constructive feedback, not just a yes or no. Our Showcase helps you grow, builds your confidence, and strengthens your skills. It’s not about competition. It’s about being seen, staying inspired, and levelling up your craft together.
