Every Showcase features a guest industry expert as judge, a creative brief, and the chance to share your best work. The most exciting part? Every actor who enters receives individual feedback. Whether you're shortlisted or not, you’ll hear what you did well and where you can grow. Personalised notes from casting and industry professionals, unique to Fishpond. 

Autumn Showcase
Shops and social media may be trying to hurry us into Winter, but we're still making the most of the Autumn sun and leaves here at Fishpond. We're going to save our Winter Showcase to brighten up the long evenings of the new year, so Autumn will be our final showcase of 2025.

We're focusing specifically on voice for this one. We know that so many of you are passionate about voiceover work, and we wanted to collaborate with a true expert who really knows their stuff.

So, we're glad to say that the fantastic Paul Fegan, founder of bitsixteen, will evaluate your audio recordings and choose his favourites. Paul will also provide personal feedback on his top picks, outlining why he found them so impressive. Paul has the keenest ear for talent from his many years of working in the voice world and will be listening out for the best of the best. So, this is your chance to work on your skills, as well as stand out and make a lasting impression on him.

About Paul Fegan
Paul is the founder of bitsixteen, a dedicated voiceover studio in Dublin, Ireland. He specialises in recording, directing and post-producing voiceover audio for eLearning, publishing, application-development, localisation, and VR advertising. He's also worked extensively on audiobooks, animation and museum audio guides, discovering and hiring many voiceover artists through Fishpond. 

In the audiobook world, he's had the pleasure of recording household names such as Roddy Doyle, Marian Keyes, Neil Jordan, Claire Keegan, Paul Howard, and Fintan O’Toole.

Get Creative
Paul absolutely loves working on audiobooks, and he has personally chosen two options of audiobook scripts for you to work on. All accents are welcome - this challenge is about the quality of your vocal storytelling.

1 For the adult actors (and any actors under 16 who want to take on the challenge!), Paul would love to hear your take on a section from A Christmas Carol, one of his favourite books of all time. 

2 As an alternative option for younger actors, Paul has selected a sweet section from Winnie the Pooh.

Get Seen
Paul's top talent will be shared directly with our full caster database of over 1,000 industry professionals. This includes casting directors, directors, producers, and production companies across Ireland, the UK, and beyond. In addition, we’ll add a Showcase Winner badge to your Fishpond profile, so that casters using Fishpond can easily spot you. We'll also be proud to share your recording across our platform, in our newsletters, and on our social media channels.

Get Feedback
Every single actor who takes part in the Showcase will receive feedback on their recording. If shortlisted, you’ll receive direct feedback from Paul. If not shortlisted, the Fishpond team will offer specific feedback on what you did well and where there’s room for you to develop. Following the Showcase results, we'll also hold a live in-depth talk with Paul (that you can attend), where he'll share even more insights on your work.

No one else is doing this. We believe that actors thrive with clear, constructive feedback, not just a yes or no. Our Showcase helps you grow, builds your confidence, and strengthens your skills. It’s not about competition. It’s about getting seen, staying inspired, and levelling up your craft together.
