First Look at Saipan / Upcoming Feature from Vico Films

"Steve Coogan stars as Mick McCarthy and Éanna Hardwicke stars as Roy Keane in Saipan, a new Irish film about the events leading up to Ireland's 2002 World Cup campaign, with a first-look photo from the 2025 movie just released.



Ireland's captain Roy Keane was dramatically sent home from the 2002 World Cup - when the team was preparing in Saipan - following a public quarrel with manager Mick McCarthy. The incident divided public opinion in Ireland about who was to blame.

Two-time Oscar nominee Coogan (Philomena, Stan & Ollie) and BAFTA nominee Hardwicke (The Sixth Commandment, Lakelands) filmed Saipan during the summer."
