Summary

Founded in 2008 by top Casting Director Ali Coffey, Fishpond is Ireland's premier casting network, where casters find talent and actors get cast. As well as providing professional job opportunities to thousands of artists, we're proud to support actors all over Ireland - offering workshops, talks, and trusted advice on how to navigate the world of acting and auditioning.

Strong and honest communication lies at the core of all we do at Fishpond and we’re currently looking for the perfect person to join our team as our Communications Coordinator. 2023 is set to be a pivotal year in Fishpond’s story and this person will lead the way in communicating our unique voice to acting and casting communities, both in Ireland and further afield.

Responsibilities will include:
  • creating / scheduling engaging content across our social media platforms
  • creating helpful online resources for actors
  • compiling inspiring and informative monthly newsletters for actors and casters
  • organising industry talks / workshops / events for actors
  • coordinating our monthly Monologue Challenges
  • monitoring and reporting of website / social media analytics
  • basic customer service (assisting actors and casters in their navigation of the pond)
  • helping actors to create the strongest profiles possible on Fishpond
  • supporting and nurturing creative talent in general

We'd love to hear from candidates who:
  • are (of course) excellent communicators
  • are highly creative and innovative, open to new ideas
  • have previous training / experience in digital marketing / communications
  • have strong skills in video creation / photography
  • have excellent writing / reporting skills
  • have a real passion for working in the arts
  • are extremely organised, and have wonderful administration / IT skills in general
  • enjoy engaging with people, and do so in a kind, patient and respectful manner
  • will represent Fishpond in a professional way at all times

We're really excited about this role, and we'd like to take someone on full-time, 40 hours per week to begin at the start of January 2023. Rate of pay is to be negotiated and will depend on experience. The location would be a combination of working in person (at our office in Ranelagh, Dublin 6) and working remotely.

At Fishpond, we always strive to nurture our own team as well as our members so there will be plenty of opportunities for our Communications Coordinator to develop in this role and create their own projects and initiatives going forward. This will be a really rewarding role for someone who wants to follow a career in communications / marketing and the arts in general.

How to Apply:
To apply, please send us in a video via Fishpond introducing yourself. Tell us why you would be a good fit for this position and what experience you can bring to the role. Read the Audition Instructions for some prompts on what we'd particularly like to hear about.
