Newtown Boys is a short film written by Heather O’Sullivan and directed by Niamh Bryson, based on the true story of O’Sullivan’s father, Kevin. Set in the 1960s, the story follows a young boy named Peter who was fostered by O’Sullivan’s family from a Catholic-run orphanage in Waterford, detailing their journey of brotherhood and lifelong companionship in Tramore.
